In this present study multiple methods of dewaxing were examined and the efficacy of each assessed using raman spectroscopy this study compared the effectiveness of the most commonly used dewaxing agents, namely, xylene, and histoclear, as well as heat-mediated antigen retrieval (hmar) using xylene followed by a citrate buffer and hmar using trilogy alone.
